I purchased some p4 cards from a person in the US and they were stopped by customs and held. I then received a letter from the RCMP stating that importation of theses cards into Canada would constitute a criminal offence under the radiocommunication Act of Canada. They say i can abandon the goods for destruction in which case the file will be concluded immediately.

I was under the impression that it was not illegal to bring cards in Canada only if you were found to be programming them.
If anyone can shed some light on this please let me know.
Thanks

It would seem to be illegal b/c of the recent changes in Canada.

The RCMP has always held cards though (at least the one they caught)so I am sure you got the same letter that my friend got when it was grey market 2 years ago. His gave him an option to go down to the RMCP option a plead a case to get the items back. lol. yeah like that would ever happen.

Good luck
