how long does it generally take from the second letter to the summons

I recieved a letter and talked to a laywer he sent dtv a letter and about two days after he sent his i got my second letter, but they probably didn't get his yet. anyways after i recieved my second letter i haven't heard anything from them in seven or eight months, but i don't know what happpened, b/c i can't seem to get a hold of my laywer he won't return my calls. how long did it take for you to get your summons after your second letter. it seems like he may have gotten me out of it for only 100

there is no "usual" timeframe.
the big question is "did you see a headline in your city about dtv busting hackers?".
if you have then you probably weathered the storm and they may not be back.
If you havent, then you may still be on the hook and in the headlines.
Think of yourself as Jean Valjean and DTV as your relentless pursuer if it makes you feel any better.

i did the exact same thing that you did. My lawyer answered the first
letter and then i got the second. 8 months later i got served.
apparently, if you you dont settle from the beginning, you get the summons and even that depends on the alleged purchase and how many.

Evidently the two year sol on the Title 18 claim(s) has something to do with when you're served, also. My attorney told DTV to piss up a rope back in late October, then on May 21 they filed their lawsuit, just before the 2 year anniversary of the Fullfillment Plus raid. Depending on where you purchased from and when they were busted, you should be able to get an idea of how long you get to sweat, assuming they're still claiming the Title 18 violations at the time. If enough cases get the 18 USC 2511/2512 claims dismissed, I wouldn't be suprised if they dropped them altogether and just went on the 47 USC 605 claim.......:Z
