I've recently received a brand new in box RCA 4290RE system, and I can't get my guide. I know I have a good signal, and the unit is mint. Obviously NO GUIDE = NO TV. Any help?

Go to Home, Settings, Hookup.

Make sure you have the right type of LNB system checked.


Then do a system test & run through the transponders. Make sure you get a locked signal on all the transponders (except for a few even ones carrying local spot beams not affecting you).

Thanks, everything seems to be picking up ok, just no Guide?!

Go back to Settings, Channels.


It may be set so that Clear All was selected. Check the opposite (can't remember if it says View All or whatever). Then click Done.

Try the Guide now.
