Before I decided to take some of your time, clever folks, I ran a couples of searches on this forum on the matter at hand without succes. So here is my question. Can a person open a company and get an importing permint to bring DAVE units in the country, without getting in trouble when passing the border with them?. I am just a newbie guys, sorry if it sounds stupid. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Hi Everyone,
Call Canada Customs instead.
Yes I have a friend who brings them in by the multiple hundreds every week. They are in NO WAY prohibited for import. Even Industry Canada says this in Court where they have to tell the truth.
Many customs brokers clear these all the time so you should also call a few of them until you find one familiar with the process.
There is NO problem bringing ANY US receiver in.
If they were illegal then HOW would BEV bring in the identical to DISH network units and LOOK TV bring in the RCA units that DTv uses.
The LAW in Canada is the SAME for everyone.

You can bring in US DSS into Canada all you want.. it is not banned on Canada Custom's list of prohibited items.
Calling Industry Canada is a waste of time as its the Government and they say its illegal.. but they have this problem as you can legally import them into Canda and they will take the taxes and any duties on them..
Happens daily and its pretty preverted for Industry Canada to say Nada when they know they are full of Kaka..
Three to 5 hundred thousand aren't in Canada by any fluke..
You can bring them in all you want and Industry Canada Moronics can't do anything thing about it except to misinform you.. until the Canada Customs Act is changed which hasn't happen in years BTW.. tell them to piss on a rope..
