First off, I apologize in advance for this question. I have read and searched and searched and I understand that the site has only been up a little while, but I am just trying to figure out if I am wasting my time or not.

I am a member (my membership name is canman which is different than this profile). I have been unable to get my pirateden.com email back up and running. I am pretty computer literate and use Outlook 2000 to retrieve POP3 email. I do know how to set it up and I used it for quite a while before the site went down. I have also tried using other POP3 retrieval means (mail2web). And I did resign up for email after the site was restored. All of the means give me a logon error.

Is the email server up and running? Can I reset my access? Is it a potential problem between my non member profile (sub_755) and my member profile (someone else has the canman non member logon)? Back in the day, it actually made a difference which way I logged on (as a member or not) and I rarely used the non member logon.

I greatly appreciate any help, and also really appreciate the continued efforts of those that keep this place running. :)

The pop3 server is down so it's not a problem with your account specifically. AFAIK, Rise hasn't given an ETA on when it'll be back up.

Thanks Rise.

If you are in need of a motherboard, I have an ancient PI 166 Mhz that I will donate to the Den. I know it is not much, but it works. It was what I used when I first started for SLE emu. If you are interested I will give you more details. I will ship it as well. Just trying to make a contribution! :)

That reminds me, I've got a k6-2 400mhz (takes up to PC100) with mobo you can have too if you're interested.

IMAP would be a cool addition to the new mail server if it's possible.

Sorry to bother you again about this but is there an ETA for the mail server? Is it going to change names also? Anything I can do to help?

Yes, it needs a new motherboard, it is a dual P3 rackmount so they are a bit pricy, I am still trying to outsource a new one...
