Remote not working and keypad locked

I am trying to revive an old 3200 reciever, and have found that the remote is not working on it and the keypad is locked. I plann to get the box up and subbed again, but need to knnow how to kill the keypad lock so I can point the dish. Is there a way to erease the flash or reset the keypad lock?

the unit you have is a uhf receiver i suspect.
look at the back if it has a spot for an attenna then it requires a uhf remote

only other way to access that unit is to pull the eeprom and erase it (8 pin 24L16b i believe)

or borrow a friends uhf remote and go into diagnostics screen
then press info then browse - theme buttons then hit tv/vcr button
you will get a message about corrupting the nvram
unplug and you keypad should be functional
