I have a 5th gen receiver and it will not work anymore,the green light stays on, the on off button will not work no sound or picture comes through at all any help out there.

89 % I have two receivers and one works fine it kinda just plugs in and the green light comes on and blue screen of death

One of my receivers acts like that from time to time and just unplugging it then plugging it back in fixes it.


Surely you've tried that though? =)

I have unplugged it for days and also replaced the 2 fuses and a diode listed as CR14108 on the board supposed to protech for power surges and static.

Then you certainly don't need advice from me....=)

However, did it have this behavior before and unplugging it did work? I ask because, like I said, I have a 5th Gen that does the exact same thing (light is on, on/off doesn't work) and TV just has snow (wasn't sure if yours is doing this or not) except I can fix mine by unplugging it.

I'm thinking maybe mine will be in this mode for good one day..
