I have a drd490 reciever and love to watch the "Avengers" but I cant get it to record. I guess I will have to sign up for ultimate tv...

You haven't been very specific in your problem. Are you getting an error message when trying to record?

I was trying to be discreet. Im not getting an error message, it says
I need to subscribe to ultimate tv.

Even without a subscription, you should still be able to record it. Unfortunately, you will only be able to watch the first 10 minutes of your recording (with software version 3.5 - not sure about 3.7).

your are correct...I am able to record the first 10 minutes. when I was using gold it worked fine.

u can record the whole thing, it's the viewing that's restricted to the first 10 minutes.

other than subscribing, i'm sure that nobody on the den would have any idea. pay dave, he needs the money.
