Every 5 minutes .... The guide pops up ???

For some reason every 5 minutes the guide pops up and takes you through a guided tour of the guide menu. It goes through an 8 page help proccess.
I have a model # DRD420RE which I believe is a 5th Gen.
I can hit the clear button on the remote to escape (or keep the guide from appearing)
It is extremely annoying as it continues to pop up after every 5 minutes of no remote activity.
Hopefully someone has some advice for me on this.

Some where in your menu there is a "demo" option or something like that, turn it off.

Geez, They hid it!!!! Ok, to find the demo mode option: press the info button on the reciever and at the same time push and hold the leftt arrow button(<) Hold both down for a few seconds and you get a different menu with the "demo mode" option.

Yes !!!! That's it. This has been driving me crazy for a few weeks.
I just wasn't sure which site to ask anymore as my old favorites are shut down :mad:

i had that also ,i had to enter the service screen on my drd222
i hat to hold down the up and down arrows till i entered that screen
in it there's a line item that turns it off or on [probly for a store display gimmick] i guess, try it
