Rise even though the den has changed many still miss the old days.
ther is not many sites around any more. i would think no matter how much money and time you try to fight this might never get the den back so why not just re do this in a country where dave aint got balls? is it not profitable for helper i think they ar based out of hong kong. ill always still come here like i used to in the den but how much longer can you pay for bandwith if there isnt a reason to come here for people sure some of us will see whats what around here but rather than try to make the judges in canada try to understand freedom of speech i thinjk dave can pay any amount of money to any offical and get what ever he wants. i miss the old den dude i miss it alot! and the funny thing about all of this is you were not even giving out 3m files they just wanted you so they could say they got the den.

if rise were to reopen in hong kong or anywhere else he would be asking for trouble. you see directv already knows who he is and where he lives. they got to him in canada and the location of the site means nothing. he lives in canada so they will go after him again. the only way would be for him to physically move to hong kong and i doubt he is interested in that idea. bandwidth will be paid for by membership and sponsers. if you look around we already have new sponsers and even some new faces around here already. this site will survive.

All these who think they can avoid the system by moving the site off shore are living in a fantasy world. Bottom line is they are taking money in their residential country and still breaking the law.
So mouse is correct, unless you live in that country you are subject to the laws of where you live. All these sites are in for an awakening and will eventually be shut down, soooner or later .
Rise is much to smart to get involved with that.

so ok you live in canada lets say you are able to figure out how to see a service that is only legal in the usa! now how are the people breaking any laws if the tv provider is not legaly allowed to have service in a country that differs from there country? dtv has large amounts of money they can dictate the laws in othere countries? or are they able to pay off certin officails in another country to get what ever they want. after all is canada a part of the usa ? so why did rise get caught up in this when rise is in a different country? the real a biggest thing that dtv has an issue on to this day is simple if you dont want your tv signal being stolen so people who dont pay for it cant watch it you build a sysytem that CANT! be comprmised nothing more nothing less! that should be the only issue dtv should conetrate on not using the mighty dollar to get what ever they want to make or create laws to suit them in different countries.

now how are the people breaking any laws if the tv provider is not legaly allowed to have service in a country
cause in April of 2002,, the Supreme Court of that country ruled it to be illegal to decrypt foriegn satellite signals.... (old news)
dtv has large amounts of money they can dictate the laws in othere countries? or are they able to pay off certin officails in another country to get what ever they want.
don't have to,, the Canadian Satellite providers also have lots of money......and THEY don't want Canadians watching 'illegal' tv,,the real a biggest thing that dtv has an issue on to this day is simple if you dont want your tv signal being stolen so people who dont pay for it cant watch it you build a sysytem that CANT! be comprmised nothing more nothing less! that should be the only issue dtv should conetrate on not using the mighty dollar to get what ever they want to make or create laws to suit them in different countries.
good point,, but remember,, just cause it's easy to 'steal',, doesn't mean you should. DTV has the 'right' to try to protect themselves against piracy, just as you have the 'right' to try to protect yourself against burglary (sp)... yes,, we should all concentrate on better deterants,, but just cause you only got 4 locks on your door doesn't mean the theif has permission to come into your home if he can defeat those locks....
bottom line,, whether we like it or not.. it's illegal to hack DTV,, in the US and in Canada,, of course,, in the US,, they can and many do subscribe,, if we subscribe to DTV in Canada,, we might get thrown in prison..

I have an injunction against me preventing me from offering certain things and doing certain things. Violating that is a quick way to end up in the hooskow or a big fine. As appealing as free food and a place to sleep is, I think I will pass ;)
At any rate, the site will move forward as is and more, it will take a bit of time to really catch on, but I would say within 6-8 months things will be hopping a lot more around here.
