Can anyone tell me if i can use the low data port on the back of my rca reciever DRD-420-RE.
Can it be used to hook up to my computer for satellite internet or do i need another hook up??:)

Can't be used for satellite internet....I can tell you that much for sure....=)

it is used for those fancy self tracking dishes that you may use on your boat or other mobile vehicle.

You can use the low data port with an external ReplayTV or TIVO (I have a ReplayTV). It allows the PVR to change the channel of you sat receiver before it starts recording. Also, when watching live TV, you can tune the PVR to a desired channel and your sat receiver will be signaled to change to that channel as well ... keeping PVR and sat reciver in synch. Works great, but can be a little slow.
