help DWD490RE and hu card

I bought a used DWD490RE receiver that came with HU card. When I plug init and insert card it says that card is not compatible and to call ext 745.
Any ideas on how to reset the receiver back to factory specs?

to reboot your ird first pull that card out then hold down the info and right arrown on the ird. your ird will then be ready for you to call directv and subscribe for service. do not put that card back in again or the error will return. they will not subscribe your hu card but instead they will mail you a new shiny p4 card.

sounds like you have version 3.7 on it which does not work with Hu cards. You need 3.5, which is available on members downloads

so i dont even know if this you can ask here but if in canada is there still a way to subscribe to direct tv had a freind ask me as he doesnt have the room for a c band
