I am trying to save money and use a Dtv dish on a dishnetwork reciever. Is this possible or will I get fewer channels? or can I use two dishes instead of a dual dish? and is it possible to use a dual lnb eye of a dtv dish for dishnetwork?
I would appreciate all the help that I can get on this subject. I have very little knowledge on Dishnetwork systems and installations.
Maybe someone can share a link to a website that contains such vast knowledge. Thanks

DTV, DishNet, and ExpressVu use the same LNBs, with 1 exception, SAT C LNB for DTV can not be used for anything BUT DTV sat. 110.
And if you have a dual LNB it is NOT a SAT C, they are single output.

You can use 2 dishes, and add a satellite "switch" to hook the 2 dishes together on 1 cable going to the DishNet receiver.

Multi-satellite dishes are setup for 9deg spacing,
DTV 101deg, 110deg(satC), and 119deg.
DishNet 110deg and 119deg
ExpressVu 82deg and 91deg

So as long as you aim it correctly and are not trying to pick up 119deg and 148deg on 1 dish you should be ok
