new with some questions..

hello everyone. i just bought a hughes tivo box for direct tv. it has upt to 35 hours of storage. my questions are

1. can i hack into this box?

2. do i want to activate 1st with dtv before hacking it?

3. i have both windows and linux installed on my computer. everything is done with linux right?

4. anywhere else to get a turbo card, their site seems to be gone.

5. there are 2 usb ports in the back of the reciever, why cant i just use those to communicate?

my main reason to do this is to copy movies and burn to dvd, so i thought the turbo card would be the fastest way to transfer my data.

The most importan thing you're missing is to read the rules, no hacking discussions are allowed here if youre referring to hacking the smart card, there is a lot of docmentation in the members area about how to do other mods to the receiver that may help you.

i do apoligize. could you point me in the direction because i cannot locate it. i thought it was ok, since there is a tutorial sticky.

and i dont want toi hack really, just transfer data.
