It would be nice if the US put this much enthusiasm in catching the REAL TERRORIST, Osama Bin Laden! He is the one who admitted that he arranged the 911 catastrophe! Saddam is a slime ball, I won't deny it. But the US has already stated that he had nothing to do with 911! And where are all of the weapons of mass distruction this man was supposed to have? Before Bush launched this war, he told the world that Saddam has WMDs, he has the capability to launch them on the US, he said that he was going to disarm him and he said that "we know where the WMDs are"! Now he's saying that we can't find the WMDs but we liberated an oppressed country. Who cares? I can't believe how the US is spending over 100 Billion dollars on this mission when we need to be going after the REAL TERRORISTS!

that man was a terrorist to humanity. he slaughtered hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children. seeing him go down is worth it. the weapons if not found would be bad press but this guy is still a threat to millions of people int eh world and that threat is now gone. he himself was the weapon of mass destruction.

ya they may have captured him but as far as im concerned they played the terrorist game themselves the us!!!!!how many people killed now in this war?????how many millions for a personal vandeta??????AND WHERE ARE THE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION???????????everything was a lie to go in there!!the us governmaent fabricated everything to try to get approval to stick there noses into someone elses buisness once again and for the purpose of there own gains(oil).dont get me wrong sadam was an animal, but its not the usa reason to go in there and stick there nose in and fabricate all this ---- about another country to take there wealth.so many soldiers lifes and its not done yet just for a personal vandeta!!they were no threat to the american people as bush sais, the americans are there own threat to themselves for not keeping to themselves, anyway i dont beleive in our government but im glad for one thing we stayed out of it to a point, and im happy for the iraqys if they are happy for this, dont get me wrong i think hes an animal but i think they went about it the wrong way!!!just an oppinion

All I got to say, is hind sight is better than before sight.
It isn't a perfect world, we are all human..........
If it was, we wouldn't need any military, not even in Canada.
And I am sure, if your government, told you to go, you would.
Now if you read, Canada, and France, want to reap the benefits, of rebuilding IRAQ................ How ironic.

i would like to know what wealth we are taking from iraq? wmd was a disguise to let the us go in but the real reason the usa wanted in is to have a democratic government in the middle east. if you look currently there are none. this is/was going to be a painful course of action that will not benefit our generation but should greatly help with our kids generation. i dont know anyone who is happy with our soldiers lives being lost but 20-30 years from now it will not be an issue. we need oil and so do many other countries that wouldnt help and this will go a long way to keeping away the proverbial gun to our head. call it greed or whatever but at some point this was going to happen whether we initiated it or not.
secondly osama bin laden is just a figure head. capturing will do alot for our egos but it wont come close to stopping al quaida. that will happen when we nab the second in command, dr. death. he is the real genius behind terrorist attacks.

:)Did someone just mentioned WMD?
Well first of all i want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, for many looks like santa just delivered a nice present (saddam)!!!!
Politically speaking i´m not glad, in the way that bush could capitalize that for reelection, i´m happy that someone that hurted someone else gets justice.
If they found hussein, and didnt found any WMD, for me, they never were there, they had weapons, but usgov just wanted an excuse, it´s ok, its valid, just that americans accept that its true!
my final words: anyone but Bush (lamers here you go) hehe!
PDwillneverdie!

And why shouldn't canada reap the benfits. We sent enought solders to afg to support efforts there. We don't have a bottomless pit of solderes to send. At 911, where did all the planes go when the US shut down the airspace??????? There is a reason why all the planes were sent to small cities in Canada.

Well, lets see...............
JMHO on this.
Canada, nor France, which is where I have ties to did not want to defend democracy in the so-called Iraq war. Didn't find it a necessity to send troups, or aid, and you think the USA, has a bottomless pit of soldiers to send??????????
:R
Canada from my understanding had people die in the WDC.
And you think, all the planes were US planes? Hmmmmmmm..........
Would Canada, and France want to go and rebuild, if the USA, and their allies lost the so-called war? I don't think so.
As far as Afg., I can't answer that. No benefits to rebuild Afg? Or is it Canada doesn't want to rebuild a country that has nothing to offer in return?
Again, if Canada didn't respect their lost souls in 911, to go and defend their memory, that isn't my responsibility, to try to defend it's honor now .......
That,is upto each and every Canadian citizen to answer. And from what I get from my Canadian friends, they are for the most part..... disguisted by the governments actions.
Again JMHO.

yes we are arogant, greedy and only think of ourselves. and i wouldnt live anywhere else. so answer me this question: if people around the world hate us so much why is this country the number one to immigrate to? why are all the other countries always saying we dont do enough? dont give enough?
i truly wish we would get people to run this country and tell every ungrateful country that we help(ie, money, protection) to shut the f up and by the way you will get nothing ever again from us. i know my tax dollars would be better spent at home.
again i state that we need a democratic country in the middle east. this was never going to be easy, but needed. this may not seem the case now but 30 years from now all the bitching about us being there will be a distant memory.

Let's get back to the topic at hand here. The US has captured Saddam. That's great. But how important to the US was it to spend over $100,000,000,000 to capture someone who was little or no threat to the US? If Osama Bin Laden admitted to choreographing the September 11, 2001 events that killed over 3000 people... and the US troops found models of the World Trade Center and graphs in caves and hide-outs in Afghanistan that showed how they were to carry this out... Why? Why are the US NOT using the same energies to go after Bin Laden? I just don't understand how a whole nation supports this course of action in Iraq! Bush says that we need to re-build Iraq so that Iraq can live in a democracy and it's citizens can live a better life. Give me a break! 100 Billion could've helped American citizens! Bush has his priorities twisted around! Ever since 911, Osama is America's biggest threat. After Bin Laden's confession to the 911 events, it should have been Bush's #1 concern to find and capture Bin Laden! After capturing Osama, Bush could THEN go after the smaller threats! Saddam was a small threat (if any) to the US. I'm glad that the Iraqi people does not have to live under this mad person anymore, but I don't think it was Bush's job to fix their country. It's all personal politics for Bush. It had nothing to do with protecting the US from terrorism. Just my opinion. XS.

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi made it clear that his decision to disarm was prompted by Operation Iraqi Freedom.
"I will do whatever the Americans want because I saw what happened in Iraq, and I was afraid," Mr. Gadhafi told Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, according to a Berlusconi spokesman who was quoted in yesterday's Telegraph of London.
What are you going to say after we get Osama? Let me guess:
"North Korea yea yea that’s the ticket North Korea is a bigger threat then Osama, Bush has failed because he has not stopped North Korea"
France, Germany, Canada, the UN and liberals keep digging them self’s deeper and deeper into the hole of irrelevance.
