I have just recently became a subscriber to Dish Network and they fail to inform me that I nedded a so-called Super Dish to recieve my local channels and want to charge me 24.99 to upgrade (which isn't to bad)but they cant do the conversion until march. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way around the super dish...can I add a dish 300 to bring in the signal? I have a SW34 switch with an open sat connection. I would really appreciate all the info or replies that i can get.......Thanks in Advance

Man im in the same boat. They installed my Dish 500 a month and a half ago. We just got locals last week, now they want $24.99. THAT PISSED ME OFF!

P.S. They offered to install it on christmas morning. LOL :D

You can't use a dish 300 and point it @ the 105 or 121 do to these being an FSS band where as all the other birds are DBS band.

I am useing an old Primestar Dish for the 105 Sat for locals.
If you have a Dish 500 and Duel Lnb you can combine the 2
outputs from the Primestar LNB to a Multiswitch and come out
of the multiswitch to #2 dish input on SW21 Switch and put
Dish 500 output on #1 dish input on SW21 Switch. Connect
output from SW21 Switch to Receive.
