Invalid atr string

I have a dssrev programmer - updater and a dssrev card that I cannot get to do anything. I have used nagraedit 3.0 and 4.0 and I get a error message either error resetting card invalid atr string or card not recognized or bad communication. It always says opening com 1 was succesful.
I have a 2700 and 3900 receiver with cards but I get the error even on the dssrev card

Shouldn't there be a similar post in the Dish forum? That one only says DirecTV specifically. I mean I know the rules applies to everything, but it may confuse some.

Enough said, no hacking means no hacking so please read the rules before posting, dtv and dish are both american sat systems and hacking either will get you in trouble (btw this goes to the first poster)
