The hard drive in my Dish PVR 501 receiver is very noisy. It makes an annoying high pitch sound when the receiver is on. Does anybody else have this same problem and is there a way to quiet it down? I asked Dish Network's tech support and they told me to put the receiver in a different room where I can't hear it, since it has a UHF remote. I guess I should have expected that kind of response from Dish. I currently have a blanket wrapped around it to quiet it down, but that can't be too good for keeping it cool. A friend has the PVR 510 receiver and the hard drive doesn't make any noise. Does anyone know if it is possible to put the 510 hard drive in the 501 and where I can get the 510 hard drive? Thanks.
