Hmmmm..... I've had my dish up with a dual lnb connection for the last 3 years or more. I get a constant 81 signal strength but for the last 2 weeks i've been going from a signal strength of 81 to a strength of absolutly nothing. I get the "Searching for satelite signal please wait" message and when i check the signal strength its not even at 0 it gives me the move dish 3 degrees message! Sometimes this happens for a few minutes but as of right now its been like this for 12 hours straight! Any suggestions? Could my lnb be dead? or my cables from the lnb? This problem is happeneing on both of the recievers! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

either a bad LNBF or bad receiver, sometimes if receiver a memory dump will work temporarily

Some times water has been known to work it's way into the connection point were the coax cable attaches to the LNB (there should be an O'ring inside each coax cable). The water can cause the center wire to oxidise or tarnish causeing poor reception,a little sand paper can fix that.Another possibility could be that strong wind has moved the dish a few degrees off course.Snow or leaves in the dish can cause interferiance, even a blowing tree can cause intermitant reception problems. If you have a motor on your dish it may not be stoping EXACTELY were it's suposed to.Remember a 1/4 inch dish movement on earth can be 1/4 mile in space.

make sure you are using RG-6 and not RG-59, if you use RG-59 it will generally "work" but can cause unexpected glitches such as you are describing....or even some of the "cheapie" rg-6 also has the same problem, for what the cost of the cable is, it might be worth getting some quality RG-6 and re-running it.

Had a similar problem, i couldnt believe it was thw cable, cause it was a expensive one, the cable looked fine but somehow it was damaged, so i suggest you try with a new cable, do something like work with a short cable and a portable tv and your receiver, or maybe a signal meter, instead of buying the lnb or multiswitch, hope you make it!
