I find it very hard to read, guess I'm too used to the old style...

i like the look but i have to get used to the way the threads read. the avatar/text postitions are awkward from what i am used to but i can grow to like it. i like the new  icon better though.

..I guess my biggest complaint is there isn't much difference between the "new posts" or "no new posts" beside each forum, which makes it hard to look at....

I agree with Dean. Very eye unfriendly. I will go stare at the welder for awhile, maybe it will get better. :)

I second that, I hate the new format as well. Possibly just because it's not consistent with other forums (not color scheme but basic layout...you know what I mean).
Also, my direct link to the new posts search doesn't seem to work anymore.....bah.

The old version of vbulletin was obsolete and required updating to keep up to date.
I have not finished modifying the templates or graphics at all yet, so hang tight.

You 'ole timers Hate change, don't ya??? The Avitar's size is way out of proportion to the boards dimensions so maybe they need to be DISCONNECTED from your egos . . . . hehe (I'm Kidding - I think!!)
All The Boards Updated In The Same 2 to 3 day span. Sale???
Once You Get Used To It The New Version Is GREAT!!

What I don't like about VB3 (and up) is that when you click view new posts, and save the link, when you come back to that link, the saved version of it is no good...

Save this link

I tried that; (right clicking the shortcut from quicklinks, newposts) and what it becomes for me is: /forum/search.php?searchid=197 (the 197 changes with whatever the latest post was) I haven't been successful making "getnew" work on any forum running VB3 (from a saved link)
Some forums, I get back to exactly how it (the forum) was when I saved the link, and then I have to "quick-links, new posts." Other forums, I get the dreaded "invalid link" page (that's what I'm getting here)
Could it be a cookie issue? I'm setup to accept them? I wrote Jelsoft an email, they didn't know (surprise surprise)

I could Probably Adapt to the New Format, being Middle Aged not Old. But the Loading Time on my 28k Dialup seems to be real, real Slow.

where I live 28k is only a dream,,, if we get above 19.6 we're laughin,, but then, my connection is directly owned by bell,, therefore I believe that, like most of their other services,, they can charge me as much as the guy with 44.2k connection,,, all the while making sky high promises about DSL... (yeah right.. DSL on a remote... LOL)
btw rise,, the table layout in the newreply.php is whacked out.. :)
