Did Dish Net. Make a Receiver with a DB9 Low Speed Data Port? If so, Could somebody tell me the model #'s. I am looking for one to go on my DATRON System on my boat.
Thanks,

2000, 4000, 5000 all support the datron system the 3000 has the low speed data port but the zipcode field has been removed from the point dish I didn't remember if the datron requires that or not. To use the low speed port there is a little panel on the back that you just take off and there it is.

I have an old 4000 Unit. There is no DB9 LSD Port externally. But you are fairly certain that the 3000 has one. The Datron (DBS 4550 I Think) system that I have is the older one that uses the Straight DB9 LSD Port from the Antenna Control Unit straight to the receiver.
I currently have DTV running on it now, but I am needing a DN reciever for it also.
Can you supply or point me in the right direction???
Thanks a million

I know that the data port on the back will support a Datron system you might have to get an adapter to plug it in. Its not like a serial port its more like a PCI card port than anything cant remember what dish calls them for sure. Datron would probably be more helpful on what adapter you need to run it, but I know it will support it for sure.
