I just purchased a new receiver and it does not receive a signal at all.
I was using a RCA receiver without a problem. All the transponders were receiving a signal strength of at least 80.
Then I brought home a new receiver (philips dsr704) and it cannot acquire a signal at all.
Nothing has changed. I can even plug in the old receiver and it gets a signal just fine.
I thought it might be the new receiver so I took it back to BB and exchanged it, and the new one did the exact same thing.
I tried in line amplifiers with no success. I also tried a diferent LNB and nothing changes.
I also have a sony receiver that gets the same problem. No signal at all!
Why would the RCA pick up a signal and the Philips or Sony wont?
