Ok, Im not a pro at installation, so replies with tons of abbreviations and voltage terms will just lose me right away. Here is the dilemma
I had 1 main receiver, on my ground-level floor. It was connected directly through the wall to the directv sat dish. It got very high odd and even signals, and works perfectly.
Today, I got a 2nd receiver w/ tivo (philips), which is on the second floor. It is also connected straight to the dish, but a longer cord (through the wall, to the attic, across the length of the house, down to the dish outside. This 2nd receiver gets very high odd signals, but 0's across the board for even numbers. Without evens, I can't even finish the basic setup of this thing.
What am I doing wrong / missing in my installation that is causing it to drop the even signals? I need to get this thing up and running by tomorrow night (6/26/04). Thanx for all help given.
