Hi,

1) Using web-based angle locators for dish pointing, I get results for individual satellites. What if I have a 20" dish with a Y-bracket (labeled 82-91) and I want to point my dish to get both E* 110 and 119. Do I average the values returned by the calculator and point halfway between them? Is it the same for skew angle too?

2) If I only mount 1 LNB, say on the 91 side of the Y-bracket, do I have to compensate azimuth by some amount to get 1 satellite?

3) Each dual LNB has 2 coax connectors. Which one is LNB1?

Thanks,
DB

You need to use a calculator for the 2 sat dish, it will save you a lot of hassle... If it's a newer IRD you should be able to get the angles from the onscreen setupp menu.

3) Each dual LNB has 2 coax connectors. Which one is LNB1?

A dual is just 2 LNBs in one housing both coax connectors are the same, or do you mean twin?

OK...
when you say "Y Bracket" and dual LNBs you sound like you have two duo LNBFs with two outputs each one, so you seem to have a dish500 (20") dish with two LNBs (no single plastic housing)

To point your Dish500 where you want to receive both 110 and 119 you should use this calculator: http://www3.telus.net/rampage/skew.htm

Have fun,
