Thats funny! I remember, oh not to long ago, I think it was right around the old 745 nag just began, you emailed me and needed a sub image, cuz your hubby was away at sea, and you didn't have any tv to watch, I would think since your hubby was a swabby, you would know what a swasbuckler was, OH but maybe it was that other iyrland.

A swashbuckler is someone who is footloose and fancy free. Laughs in the face of ECM's HAHAHA!!! Doesn't care about Dtv or anything. Just loves to keep one step ahead.

Ok, when I was a Galley Slave, I pretty much knew that I was the lowest of lows on board(unless a stowaway was caught!). I'd be cleaning and cookin' down below. Then, I became a Cabin Boy. Not sure all the duties there but suspect it had to do with keeping the sleeping quarters neat and tidy. I was a little worried about "other duties as assigned" if we were at sea too long!.Then, I made Deck Hand and felt a little better about making it above deck, although I'm "swabbin'" a lot. When I make Swashbuckler, I assume I'll have to wear some kind of flamboyant outfit but I'll get a really big sword and get to defend the ship! I'm sure MoeDaddy could provide us with a step-by-step list of duties(ha,ha).

iyrland, thanks for the thread! It's nice to laugh at ourselves sometimes amidst all the Dave problems.

iyrland...I think what it means is that you have enough posts and have been around long enough to know better than to post this in the newbie section....maybe web site comments or didn't you really want an answer, just something to do?????

I should not waste much needed bandwidth on this post but thank you TDon. You hit the nail on the head. Would one of the Pirate Admins close this thread?

i was inder the impression that a swashbuckler was a person that ties up women with buckels or swashes . now that s what i would call a swashbuckler just .02

This is not your first trip to the den. You have had many post in the past. You know what all of this is about. You were busted back and it seems that you are on your way again to the same actions. If you want to "chat" through post, may I suggest you choose another format besides here. I am sure aol will have something. Being funny is one thing to ease the stress. Key word in your post was "thought". Guess you should have used the search button and found the answer to your question about swashbuckler.

i have seen some posting where she's helping.

although i think she has the reasoning ability to figure out what the titles are about.

closing the thread would probably demonstrate that she's getting under a few people's skin more than anything else.

some of the people that have responded regardless of mods comments to the inappropriateness of some posts are responsible for keeping the thread active

if their weren't any replies their wouldn't be any problem

Arrr Iryland maybe you would have more fun in the BS Forum. Myself be a Buckeneer and the Swashbuckler's job is to fight and bring us the booty to give to the captain.

First of all, to the two party poopers, I believe I am posting this in the right section, "Newbie" seeing that I have only been on this site for a few days. Second, even though I am the lowest of low on the totem pole, Swashbucklers was the name of the Tampa Bay Buc's cheerleaders back a few years ago......so, Iryland, if ya can't get out of these guys what you are, at least the thought of cheering on lots of hunks on a football field might at least make you smile! I have only been on here a few days and already I have a headache. The humerous thread was a nice break! You go girl...this girl's got your back. :o) LOL

Ideally, "rank" would be predicated upon the QUALITY of one's posts, not merely the QUANTITY of consumption of precious bandwidth.

July 26th, 2000, 06:21 PM
some people with pretty high quality posts are obviously interested in lightening up for a few minutes.

those criticizing this thread need to lighten up a bit

this posts been move to the GERNERAL B.S. FORUM

the rankings by post are just part of the culture, i don't think they are meant to indicate anything.

the only thing that can be derived by the numbers of post is how active and/or how long someones been around.
if you want to see the quality you hit the users search button and view a few of the post.

RISE AND MUGGLES BOTH HAVE EXERCISED GOOD JUDGMENT IN MY OPINION. AND I'M SURE THE MODS WILL KEEP IT WITHIN THE GENERAL POSTING RULES.

i thought some of the comments i've seen in this thread were serious and off base, your reply just happened to be one of the last along with RADDOC'S

the comments about posts were just an observation and opinion ABOUT WHAT CONCLUSIONS i derive from post#'s = very little.
i wasn't including myself in the group of replier's responding here with quality posts.

i'm not much above ground zero as far as knowledge about dss

O.K. now i'll start to float

have a good day
