FYI, Please see the below post from some smug ------- XM subscriber on the yahoo.com message board. This is how XMbeciles feel about canadians. This is not how Sirius subscribers feel about Canadians. Just thought you would like to know:

F u c k Canada and their restrictive anti-free speech goverment. Maybe if Canadian "artist" didn't suck ass, they wouldn't need to "be promoted" by goverment enforced laws.

I'm sure glad America doesn't tell companies they can't brodcast unless they have a certian % of American content.

Maybe if "America's Hat" (Canada), were left to fend for themselves without the protection of America, we'd see this horid little country "taken care of".

I guess we'll have to wait until XM bends over backwards so we can get Satellite radio in Communist China...Eh, I'm sorry, I mean Canada.

Although Canada certainly has its flaws, I would strongly encourage this person to open his eyes to what is happening in his own county before calling down another. Have him look at some of the recent things that the house, congress, the president and now the US supreme court have done. I would 1000% favor our socialist government to the current US neo-conservative regime, which I believe is as large a threat to world security as any terrorist organization.

Although I don't agree with over regulation, I do agree with promoting canadian artists and believe that it can be done in a way that does not lead to censorship.

For example, the recent satellite radio ruling, although it does not have a large canadian content requirement, the upside is that now canadian artists will have the opportunity to be heard in the USA as well as Canada, so 275 million potential listeners instead of just 25 million. The same could be done with TV broadcasts if canadian broadcasters would bother putting out good content instead of just renaming US content.

little country....hmmm...2nd largest land mass and all too....wow....and let us just cut off our oil pipelines to tha states and see how long it takes them to fold up.....seeing as we provide the states with almost all of their oil....but lets not talk about that right.... ;) :R
as for the xm being provided up here you are right...it sux...thats why even though im in canada i tell em i live in tha states so i dont have to listen to cuts like a knife or boots are hearts a million times....

I'm not about to bash Canada. They have better beer and fishing.
Speaking of which -
I'm heading up to Quebec on a fishing excursion (fly-in) and was wondering if it's worth bringing my XM receiver with me.
We're really limited on what we can carry on the float plane and I didn't want to bring a bazillion CDs. Yeah... I know... iPod or something like that - but I want my XM!
