I just purchased a phase 3 HD directv dish. I have installed the old dishes in the past (in Calif.) but haven't tackled the triple LNB HD phase 3 dish. How is this install going to differ from the old dishes? Also with the built in multi-switch I will be able to run 4 receivers straight from the dish? I live north of Dallas in Frisco, TX. Thank You.

I just went through the same thing -- upgrade from a 2-LNB, one-satellite dish to the new 3-LNB, multi-satellite dish. Here's my experience:
1. I had to dig up my old installation and put in new 1-inch conduit. I couldn't fit enough coax runs in the old 3/4-inch conduit.
2. Be aware that you are now looking for more than one satellite. This complicates pointing -- maybe a LOT. In my case, I get to cut several branches out of a tree because now I need to see 18 degrees of the sky instead of 2 or three degrees.
3. Qualified "yes" on the question about multiple receivers. There are four outputs on a typical multi-satellite dish. Each one can feed a single receiver, and the built-in multiswitch does the satellite and transponder selection for you. BUT --- if you are using TiVos or other DVR equipment and expect to be able to watch on one channel and record on another, then you will only be able to connect TWO receivers since each TiVo will use two of the dish outputs.
Hope this helps.
