Saving recordings from Dish PVR to Laptop Computer

Does anyone know how to download saved video from a Dish PVR to a laptop? Specifically, I have the Dishplayer 942 dual tuner HD DVR and want to download the programs I record to my laptop to view while away from home. Thanks!

Dish does not make it easy to do these things, about the easiest way is to pick up on of those pc pvr cards and connect it to your dishplayer and convert it to an avi file
