Anyone here that downloads Mp3s have any alternatives to napster? This is the only Topic forum that allows misc questions, but I understand it's meant to be filled with fighting, bashing and cursing. So if you have an answer, you may also feel free to pick a fight with me while your answering.

Imesh is a tad quirky from time to time however, it is pretty good as well. Plus, you can do video.

Scour is another, however they are being sued right now as well.

yeah, I too love the music scene, I love to hear about the musicians and artists talking about "it's all about the music, feeling good, sharing and caring" it is all good until the money is affected. Then they are victims. It is unbelievable. Honestly I can say that any songs I got from Napster, I would not have paid for anyway, so they wouldn't have gotten a dime from me anyway! Like I am really gonna dish out 15 buck for Dexy's Midnight Runners so I can bug my mullet wearing metal fan neighbor? okay, I might. Long live free music. They will never shut it down completely.

I heard about napster being saved last night as I was furiously downloading some old songs I had been looking for. I will remain optimistic and assume that the 20 million subscribers to napster will be able to have an affect on policy. I still buy cd's, but some songs are difficult,if not impossible to find anywhere except in the company of strangers on the net.

there is already a site out of canada, If you go to napigator.com and download the software you can access all of the different servers all over the world the utilize the napster software, and canada has one of the largest.
