This past weekend we visited a flea market, which is very
popular in this area. As we were working our way around the
tables and displays I noticed a guy who had only one item
on his table a few rows away. It was a DSS system. I started to work my way over to him just as a older gentleman
stepped up to the table. He looked as if he was in his late
70's. He was sporting a week long stubble on his face and wearing what looked like coveralls. He asked the guy what he had for sale. The guy then explained what it was and what it would do. A hundred or more channels the old man asked. Yes the guy said and the picture is clearer than cable. The old man said I don't have cable, I live in the country. This system was made just for you then, the guy said. It receives signals from space the old man said. Yes
was the reply. How much do they sell for the old man said.
About a hundred dollars the guy answered. How much do you want for this one. The guy answered 60 dollars. (I moved
closer.) Are they easy to install he asked. Yea, I have installed several for my family the guy said. Then the old man asked one last question that caused me to walk away.
