Recently replaced receiver in Ford vehicle still indicating "Service Sat". Ford at wits end cannot seem to pinpoint problem. I have noticed that when first turning on the ignition the screen indicates channel "221" with a view of satellite and antenna and indicates White Noise then goes back to Service Sat. Anyone out there have any ideas on what problem might be or can someone direct me to a diagnostic type website? Haven't been able to listen to Sirius since June of 05.

A problem such as you describe is unlikely to be self repairable. I would suggest taking the vehicle to the dealer to have it diagnosed. Sounds like the antenna is still operating, but the receiver is not processing it properly

Thanks for the feedback. I will post to this site the diagnosis if and when Ford can figure the problem out. It appears that this is something Ford has taken on and they do not have the expertise yet to properly diagnose and repair. When contacting Sirius they refuse to even consider troubleshooting and instead refer me back to FOMOCO.
