I learned of FTA satellites from my grandpa. He had a guy hook it up for him for 300$. He has a Coolsat Receiver and a Direct Tv Dish. My question is how do I do all of this. Im getting a receiver for myself becuase my parents all ready have one to receiver Thai channels. I want the american ones. My grandpa was able to receiver HBO, PPV, and other channels like BEt. HOw do I get those? How do I set up the dish to recieve different satellite channels. I know theres a list for it like ECHOSTAR is at 119.0 Degrees. Does I just set my dish to that and receiver those channels? Could I try it on my parents receiver first? Im lost and clueless in what to do. Can someone point me in the right direction.
