Is there any way to not have this static? Its an audiovox with just the antenna and power source to the cig lighter. Little help? Thanks.

assuming your using the fm modulator, have you tried any other fm stations?
I get different results with different radios and need to use diff stations
Also if you can move the reciever around ,sometimes different positions will clear things up a bit...
Otherwise if you have a cassette deck in the car try using a cassette interface and you shouldnt have any static providing your getting good signal strength
Good Luck

Buy a better unit than audiovox...then try all the fm stations. If that doesnt work get the antenna plug in for a direct connection...if that doesnt work hard wire the power supply...if that doesnt work buy a Sirius unit..they are much better quality. If that doesnt work, have fun with regular radio.

I have a similar problem with XM but mine sounds like ignition noise. I use Sure Connect and probably have to shield the cable somehow.

I would try a few different fm stations. That will probably help.
