Splitter

I'm trying to hook up a splitter from one room to another . I realize that they will be watching the same show , but i still can't get the other tv to respond. The one that I hooked the splitter on, says it's trying to acquire a signal.Please help.

You can't split a satellite signal to another room without a satellite multiswitch. You can however split the modulated tv signal after it has been processed by the receiver.

You need to run a coax from the working receiver TV-OUT directly to your second TV.

It sounds like you are connecting your coax to the satellite in jack instead of the TV-OUT
