Installation Not Hard Wired!

Has anyone had a good experience not hardwiring? We just got a Sportster Plug-N-Play and thought it would work fine being plugged in via the car mounting kit to the cigarette lighter. Not working so well (sometimes not at all). Would be interested in other feedback. Looks like I might have to spend even more money to get it hardwired installed and buy an FM modulator!!!

I have a sportster replay and don't have it hardwired and mine works great. Sounds better than regular radio. What kind of problems have you been having? If you have problems with other stations cutting into your sattelite signal you might want to change the frequency that your unit broadcasts on. You can change it in the menu system.
