i am trying to transfer my directv service which has lost channels to dish network. i already have a large chanelmaster dish which was supporting one lnb. i live at the southern tip of baja california in mexico... 23 degrees north, -109 west.

my questions are:

can i still use this dish, what do i need to convert the dss setup to the dish network setup (different lnb's or adaptors)

also, i would like to be able to see both the 110 and 119 satellites.

can all of this be done without breaking the bank?

thanks for your help

You can hit either 119 or 110 with the existing dish. If you want to view both satellites from the same channel master dish, there are adaptor arms and lnb holders availailable that are specifically designed for the channel master 1.8m and 1.2m. dishes.

Hola jimster,
must be near Cabo or San José.
You can use your CM dish with 1 Circular Lnb
to recieve D##H programing on either 110° O
119° . However you must have an IRD to recieve
these birds (sats). A change from Dave to Charlie
requires many stages. Your Direct TV antenna with
single Lnb was at 110°. Single circular Lnb. To recieve
both 110° and 119° D##H requires 2 separate circular Lnbs as
D##H Pro 500 already set up with dual Lnbs. 18" is all
required, you are closer to the birds than I am. @ $ 80.00 .
IRD information is unknown, you did not specify.
You can not convert your Direct TV box to D##h network.
You must have an IRD capable to support your needs.
