I have an old single-satellite Dish system that has served us well. There are just a couple of channels I can't get unless I have 500. So now I want them, but I would have to pay 60 bucks. And I don't think they will sell me the hardware so I can install myself. And I don't want the hassle of scheduling an installer to put in the dish (probably not where I want it, either).
Is it possible for me to buy a reciever and dish off Ebay or wherever and install it myself, then call Dish Network to activate?
