Splitting HDTV Reciever

My friend has a HD reciever and 2 hd tvs. i was wondering if i used a splitter and split the signal coming from the reciever to the tv if i could get both tvs working on the same reciever. i know you cant watch different channels but thats ok. its a bar. i just want to know if you can get the same high def channel working on both tvs. any comments are appreciated.

you can purchase a componate level switch box & do several ts's if you like

thanks ill give that a shot. i already have his other reciever split but didnt think a regular splitter would do it with hd.
