Anyone know of any DirectTV providers who do Canada?

If so, please send me a private message.

Thanks!

PS I hate Canadian TV and the CRTC. Democracy my ass.

I've found a nice little mailbox service in Seattle that I think I'm going to use.

Do I need to do this in the next week? (I read on this sites news that they're changing on March 1 to an equipment rental method. I already own the dish, receiver and 5 card.)

Lastly, new subscribers get a free DVR receiver. Can Canadians get DirectTV DVR service or does it require a US phone number?

The DVR (TiVO or the latest flavours) service does work within Canada. There are local telephone numbers to choose from during the set-up process, that will allow your unit to upload data -- this has nothing to do with DirecTV themselves. Good luck!

You will be able to activate existing equipment the same as always. Its only new equipment that is affected by the move to all lease
