Well, the S50 is back on top in this category.

The Airware grabbed the spot for about 2 days, and then fell off.

It is an unfortunate fact of life in retail. When you introduce
groundbreaking new products like the Helix and Inno a month or two ahead of
time, you're going to cannibalize sales of the older units.

As we get closer to the release dates on these items it may get very tough
to sell the older XM2Gos. Which is the reason XM doesn't preannounce
products by six or eight months the way, uh, some people do.

Remember "Christmas in August" and the Dell DJ and Samsung neXus?
Where are those XM products? Let's see, this almost March, how many
months ago was August?

BTW, the Helix and neXus are reported to be in stock at Crutchfield
3/31/05, so don't buy any XM radios until then. Crutchfield always has
the availability date correct, don't they?

Chuck.....

XM introduced their samsumng line last August.

It will hit the shelves in May.

Last time i checked, that was 9 months.

Sirius has annonced that they will have a new line out this summer. but
has not given much color to what it is.

The line will likely launch for Fathers Day

You have your facts a little wrong. XM announced the NEXUS (not the
Helix) in August. We now know it was subsequently withdrawn so it
could be re-engineered to support the Passport, which gives it a great
deal more flexibility then, for example, the S50. Like the S50,
however, the Nexus was never going to be a major product for XM.

The Helix and Inno were first introduced on January 4 at CES, for a
scheduled mid/late March delivery. This lead time is a little longer
than is typical for XM, but justifiable in order that they should be
able to capture top honors at CES.

These two products will be huge, selling more than a million units
between now and Christmas.

Perhaps they will. But historically, they don't have a great track
record -- you may remember your posts this time last year concerning
the NoGo. You remember, how it was going to be out in May. Then June.
Then August. Then never. It was going to take one battery. Then
two. It was going to be small. Then big.

We'll see. The fact is that Sirius NEEDS to deliver a wearable. But
it concerns me that they downplayed the importance of during the CC --
that has usually been a precursor to a missed deadline with Sirius.

Frontmed, pick a name and stick with it.

You are not fooling anyone with all of these aliases. I know it's
tough because the name frontmed has become synonymous with "zero
credibility", but accept your reputation and stop posting with a bunch
of different names to support the nonsense you wrote under another
name.

It has become a transparent and pathetic attempt of you trying to make
it look like many people here agree with the nonsense that you post.
