My H2A has a wireless modulator mounted under the dash. The FM antenna is
in the rear window.
I see the docking cradle has a FM Out jack as well as audio out.
Could I use a mini plug with 1 foot leads as antenna radials plugged into
the FM Out jack to increase the range.
It works fine now except when I travel to a large city or a higher gain
modulator is near by...then the other car overides my modulator.
The only area I can install the H2A and hide wiring is below the dash.

If it's a wireless modulator why is it under the dash?
Does the car kit have a modulator built in? If so, that's what the FM
Out jack is for; it goes to a hardwired FM Modulator. You can put an
unshielded 2.5 mm center conductor into that hole. Make the wire
31''.

There is also a audio out jack that is used for a wired modulator.
The wireless modulator is in the car kit. I have been unable to remove dash
to access the FM coax for a wired modulator. All wiring is hidden when hung
under the dash. Did not like top of dash as some wires were exposed
OK...then I should not use a stereo plug but a single wire plug? or just a
single 31 inch wire plugged into the center? if so a grounded radial would
not be used?

OK I think this would work, just cut the ear bud off and seperate the wires
cut at 31"

Problems....went to rat shack and bought a 1/8 mono mini jack #274-286
This phone plug fits the audio out plug on the wireless modulater thats in
the car kit. its too large for the FM out on the modulator.
Went back to RS and tried the smaller plugs in stock...it was too
loose...dont fit.
Took a ohm meter and the exposed metal at the FM out jack is common. This
tells me there is an internal contact behind the round exposed ring at the
jack.
I think I'll send e-mail to Kenwood support for info.
