XM radio continue to plumet this week closing just above $22 a share on
Friday. Well down from a high of almost $30 a share in early Jan.
When will someone show up at XM to save this company?
NEW YORK (Reuters) - A director stepped down from XM Satellite Radio
Holdings and warned the company would face a cash crisis if it didn't cut
spending, XM said Thursday, as it reported a wider quarterly loss on higher
expenses.

There appears to be a big shake-up under way in the programming
department.

I don't think XM is "going south." Both companies have been having some
pretty major ups-and-downs of late, but I think they'll both be around for a
while.

Sirius is perceived as the retail front-runner and as having the
superior lineup. XM has an image problem.

XM does have an image problem -- this is one area where XM's management can
be justifiably criticized. In spite of having all-round superior content,
they have not done what is necessary to claim the prize in a marketing
sense.

''All-round superior content''?
How so?
News? Hardly.
Big name air personalities? I think not.
Music people want? Doubtful.
XM is top-heavy with esoterica and attitude and ''big lie'' mentality
and short on the basics.

Analyst reports on moneycentral.msn.com
6 months ago they gave XM a "9" (out of 10). Now they get a "4"

Meaningless. Worse, I think you're referring to their mechanically computed
"technical" analyses. WOrse than meaningless.

last three months stock prices for XM and Siri

gee, look at that, they both followed the same track - both stocks are down
~28% over the past three months. Where's the Howard effect, Sirius?
