721 Hard Drive has crashed Help needed

I have a 721 with a crashed drive. A clicker. No recovery possible.
I have reviewed the "published" dish procedure and gotten nowhere.
I have isolated on the 119` bird but procedure says hit the "option,6,1,1 on the remote.

There is no "Option" button on a 721 remote.
I can see no lights flashing on the front panel requardless of what I hit

Help! Stuck!.

There is a brand new, correct model, drive currently installed.

The instructions for replacing a hard drive in a PVR 721 states that I must be able to plug in a phone line. I don't have a home phone. Is there no way to download the software update from the satellite? Maybe the update is on the internet somewhere and I could put it on a USB thumb drive? Any suggestions?

On your remote, push menu then 6-1-1

This will bring up your signal strenth/point dish screen.
