It might be true, but I'm doubting it. And I'm a Stern fan. I know there
have been (at the VERY least) 2 completely awful, unlistenable Friday
shows. If I were Howard, I'd be professionally embarrassed if I TRULY
cared about quality control. Stern's a control freak. At least he used to
be. The Friday "substitute" shows couldn't possibly be worse.

If Howard wants to work a 4 day week, he should work like Letterman, and
kick out 2 shows in 1 day. Letterman does 2 shows on Monday. Then a show
per day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My gawd, Letterman's had a
quintuple heart bypass, and he's still working harder than Howard.

He has done more than two Fridays without a showe, but that doesn't mean he
isn't working on content for the two channels.Taking a day off means not
working.

Just because he takes a day off does not mean he is working on his two
channel.

So is Stern taking Fridays off or working behind the scenes on content
for the two channels?

I think Stern's still quite the control freak. It's just that his idea
of "quality" has taken a nose dive in recent years.

1) He has only taken two Fridays off since the show started. Don't
believe me, go to Mark's Friggin..

2) The Friday show is far better than the Best of $hit he was running at
KRQ.

I am sure it is right around the corner. After all, 2 months on the job
with 4 day work weeks you really do need a 2 week vacation.

Bubba wants to sit in for him when he does go on vacation. I figure
it's win-win because it could get Bubba more listeners as well as it
would mean no 'best of' nonsense.

Putting Bubba on would be a mistake, I think. Bottom line = Bubba's not
very good. He tries. Some people like his work. He pales compared to
Stern. Quite honestly, I don't think he was a good hire. Although Stern
hates his work, I'd much rather hear "The Greaseman" than Bubba. Greaseman
is creative, extremely entertaining, and genuinely funny. Years ago, I had
the pleasure of beating The Greaseman in Jacksonville radio. Greaseman was
so good, my partner and I would actually listen to him during our show.
That wasn't really professional behavior on our part, but The Greaseman
was just so damn good. He really was. The only reason we beat him was that
FM was handily beating AM stations. The Greaseman was still on an AM,
while we were on a strong-signaled FM.

I enjoyed the back and forth with the other guy and you discussing your
wife's fascination (yet fearfullness!) of being ass-fucked. Personally, I
can never take ass-fucking seriously because the whole concept (to me) is
completely ridiculous. Yet you proceeded to tell the world of you and your
wife's interest in ass-fucking. I found that odd, and I find you odd.

That being said....."The Boys" want to fuck you in the ass, Sapper.

Pronouncing "Norton" as "Norden" is funny? Gee whiz, I take it back.
Opie and Anthony are comic geniuses. Almost as funny as when Howard
would pronounce "Martling" as "Marlowe."

No, Howard didn't invent mispronouncing names. Just the name of his
