He does not have more listeners now. He DID have more listeners but 80% of
those that DID listen, bailed on him when he moved to the pay service. He
took the payday and could care less about his so called "faithful"
listeners.

He brought about 750K listeners with him to Sirius. Not sure how many
people he has gotten since he started on Sirius, but fewer people each
week are geting sirius for howard. He might be close to a million
listeners by now.

Don't forget that any number given includes UNSOLD cars with Sirius
recievers due to Sirius's deceptive counting practices.

Actually, that is taking those cars into account. That is also a very
generoug number. I should have said he brought UP TO 750K listeners
with him.

And they would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you pesky

Christ. Back to subs numbers. What matters is that if Howard didn't kick
so much ass, the O&A crew wouldn't be on his nuts. But, he rules, so you
try and bring him down.

It matters becuase it was what he was HIRED to do. And he failed
miserably. Do you think Sirius is happy with Howie bringing in less
than a million subs. I wonder how many they PROMISED would make the
switch.

The 750,000 argument is stale. Sirius has been around for years and
inched up to 600,000 subs. Howard signs, months later, they're up to 3.3
million. Coincidence? If that's what you have to tell yourself, fine.
You can say it was magic, it really doesn't matter. The only FACT is
the rise in subscriptions coincided with his signing.

I'd like to read or hear when and how he's failed miserably. Please
forward any links you may have. Thanks in advance.

He was the only thing bringing in subscriptions and they expected him
to bring much much more. Even to convert XM subscribers to Sirius. The
results were disappointing. Sirius was a sinking ship and he kept
them afloat.

No one denies that Howie brought subs to Sirius, just not as many as
they all hoped.

The real question is how many subs is he going to bring in NOW.
Without the free 14 month commercial and media hype. What is bringing
in new listeners ? People who wanted Stern on satellite have got him
now, but no one else is joining along. Instead of building an
audience he thought he could just MOVE his audience, it didn't work
out.

Hasn't XM also had pretty good growth over the past year? If so,
woudn't that mean that at least some of that 3.3 million (minus the
unsold cars of course) would be due to natural growth?

Some, definitely, but natural growth wouldn't change a 4:1 market lead
by XM into a 2:1 market lead.

Nooo! Your a --- and Opie rulez. Sterns nothing but a jew and sucks on
top of that too. The boyz are the greatest thing in any media today and
that includes everybody at all. Man you Stern fans are really dumb fucks.

I'm a corporal in the Opie Army and that makes me so cool, you don't even
know. Your just listening to a radio show, but Opie 'n'Anthony are MY

RIGHT! Opie and Anthony are the best of all. Stern sucks and everybody
who listens to him is a ---. Nobody's listening to him and everything
you read or hear about him being the best in Radio is made up. Stern's
just so powerful because hes a jew that he's been able to get all the
newspapers and tv shows and radios to LIE that he's good.

By the way, is that stuff about people getting XM for 3 bucks a month
for real? Can you tell me the number to call? I've got a 5 year
subscription and I am PISSED!

Anybody want to buy an almost new XM radio?

IIRC, the base price plus the premium was $11.95 or $12.95. So I guess
the answer to your question is: you are the fucking idiot.

I'm sure both companies have experienced natural growth. I do know that
XM had the opportunity to deal a death blow to Sirius, but they blew it
and now are paying dearly. The next year should be very interesting.

Are you waiting for Stern to take to the Macho Picchu's with an armed

It's a bull$#!+ line that he's been feeding his listeners in an attempt
to get more of them willing to drop the $ for Sirius that referred to
new boundries and ideas for radio that Stern would be the architect of.

Um, it's an advertising slogan. He's not the President promising to
lower taxes or anything.

I'm thinking so far, so good. He's got a great show going, he's got HS
On Demand going, the film festival, etc... Don't shat yourself just yet,
bro. It's just begun.

LOL....I was just thinking that I was not going to post the math
again, but would tell him that I posted the math a number of times
before if he cared to search.

I don't need to see your math AGAIN. All the numbers you've provide are
speculative with no back-up. I want to see facts. If he's failing, I'd
like you or ANYONE to back up why with more than just some made up
bull----. All the ---- talking aside, it's come to the point where you
need to put up, or shut up.

Bring it.

I used the numbers from sirius and bridge ratings. Which set of
numbers were wrong?
