First they claim 100% commercial free music, then they run "product placement announcements"....i.e commercials. Now they are in contract with CLear CHannel to start more music channels with commercials...how will XM try to get around this? They can't. People caught on.

Was listening to one of the music stations (Squizz to be exact) and heard TWO "sponsored promos" for a "leasing agency." So much for commercial free music XM. Please just be honest about it.
P.S. Call to XM and complain..they'll reduce your monthly cost to $5.....even though they are not even worth that much....

check out the several articles posted at:

to see the real deal. Here's a brief excerpt from one of the articles:

"This action was the result of a legal settlement with Clear Channel Radio which entered into a programming agreement with XM back in 1998. Unfortunately for XM, abiding by this settlement has meant it had to break the promise of all its music channels being commercial-free.

Now, although most of XM’s music channels are commercial-free, a few programmed by Clear Channel Radio are not. XM listeners will have to put up with this until at least 2008 – the year the agreement with XM and Clear Channel supposedly ends."

And they want us to pay $12.95/month when we can get commercials for free on regualr radio?
