View Full Version : No Friday Stern=No Sirius for me

Personally, I'm not buying Sirius until Stern does whole weeks. A 4 day
week of Stern holds no value to me. You might as well have Big Pussy from
"The Sopranos" ---- in my face. That's the kind of respect for the
listener you're offering up, Howard.

C'mon....most radio guys work a 6 day
week. Howard.....are you too old or have you lost your love/enthusiasm
for the business? Enthusiasm works both ways, Howard. Your lose yours, I
lose mine. When that happens, there goes all possibility of getting me
(and like-minded people) as a sub. You can't build a business by doing a
half-assed job. No Fridays = "Half Assed Job".

He got his pay day and his pay back to the sheepish is 4 day work weeks.
However, they will deny deny deny forever that he takes every friday off.
Even if he did not work a friday in 1 year, they will still say he does
"some" of them.

His BIG satelite radio revolution was the work 4 days a week for 9 months a
year. 3 months of vacation ROFLMAO. What until you guys hit for first 3
week vacation hahahah

He works Fridays, I don't know where you dimwits get that he takes Fridays
off. He has taken 2 Fridays off this year, that's not every Friday, it's 2
out of 10 Fridays taken off. Stern works more than Bush does, so quit lying
about him taking every Friday off.

Don't get Sirius then. I personaly think no one should post the show
anymore. There is no reason anymore since it is being rebroadcasted all
day. Then we will see if you can go without getting Sirius.

It aint' crack cocaine, dimbulb. Now that I've heard the first few weeks
shows (and there have been some good ones), I don't think I'll die if it's
not available anymore. It'll always be here for various reasons. Don't
believe me? Stick around and watch. Don't know how many peeps get it from
here but (conservatively) at least 6,000 uploads per show are occuring on
bittorrent. Not enough to make a serious dent in subs. Hey, I'd be a sub
if Stern would work Friday's, but he chose instead to piss in my face. No
respect from Stern? No respect from me. You can build a business that
provides a service if you're going to do it "Half Assed". No Fridays =
"Half Assed" indeed.

What's your hangup about Fridays? He still does more hours the other 4 days
than when he was on FM. Sirius gives you 24 hours of Stern programming.
Some people might call it 48 but you can't listen to 2 streams at once.
Most radio guys DON'T work 6 days a week. People of Stern's stature
don't have the same "work week" that regular folk do.

I swear to God, to listen to some of these fucks on here, you'd think
they're paying Stern's paycheck all by themselves. "Waaaaahhhh! I'm

You all lost the point... You are buying satellite radio, Not Howard
Stern...

What are you actually listening to right now? Bet there is better on
Satellite, and I will even say XM or Sirius...

Too bad it costs money to try it out....(you can take the XM route and they
will GIVE you a radio and probably pretty soon PAY YOU to listen, but I bet
even those people dont go back to regular radio.

Now if it cost EXTRA to get Howard, THEN you might have a point....

So if he did two 12 hour shows on Monday and Tuesday, and

I record all his shows. Since I listen less than 5 hours a day, I have a
surplus of shows to listen to. I record radio like most people record TV on
their Tivo's. This way my "listening schedule" is independent of the shows
broadcast schedule. I carry around the oldest shows I haven't heard yet on
my mp3 player, so I get fresh Stern whenever I want. I only tune in to his
live shows when there's an event he's like to comment on, or if I'm by the
radio. Because 100 and 101 are broadcast 24 hours a day, it seems that
would more than compensate for an occassional 4-day week. Generally, he
broadcasts more than anyone can listen to even if his morning show is just 4
days a week. All things considered, it's hard not to OD on Stern no matter
what.

I wish he broadcast just 3 hours a day with more commercials, like on FM.
With that schedule my listening schedule was synchronized with his broadcast
schedule. But maybe it's better to have a surplus of shows in my archive I
haven't listened to, that way I'll never run out.

Hell, I go stark raving mad doing ANYTHING for 12 hours. Who
wouldn't? But he's not doing two 12 hour shows a week, so this is a
stupid conversation.
