I want to use my Sirius SV1C at home as well as in my car. How would i power it and run it thru my sterio and speakers? Thanks

the obvious answer is go buy a home kit!

but I assume you knew that already?

What you need to do (as I do) is find a window that your antenna can see the (usually Southern) sky... next place your antenna there!

I use a 12V power supply that I have on hand, but radio shack or an electronics store will probably have something you can use to power the Sirius... have them fit a (female) cigar lighter adaptor for you (some power packs have these as standard).. next tune your FM Stereo to whatever your car radio listens to Sirius on and away you go!

I dont have a permanent installation in my car - taking the unit out when I want to listen at home....

Thanks Terry...There is no home kit for this version of player...i did buy one for another model but could not get any reception. Maybe it was my areial position...i was hoping there was a way around the home kit cost...thanks again
