O&A recently indicated that, due to legal snarls, this may not happen. They
did not give specifics but they did say they would not compromise the
satellite show for Infinity
Imagine that, they care more about their fans than they do money. THAT'S

Nice back pedal, waterhead. At first you queers were saying o&a
broadcasting on infinity and xm was going to be the death blow to stern
and how great it was going to be. now it's because they care more about
the fans than the money. it must be hard to type with a's ---- in your
ass and o's in your mouth.

Actually, you are correct on both accounts. If o&a were able to do a
show that was broadcast uncensored on XM and censored on Infinity, it
would be a death blow to stern. What CL said is that o&a recently
indicated that they were not willing to go through with a deal if it
meant compromising the show on xm because they care about the
listeners more than they care about the money from the deal.

First it was dancing in the streets because they were on the verge of a
deal with CBS, now it fell through, but they "did it for the fans, man".

I don't know much about the deal. I'm just repeating what was
mentioned in an easier to understand way. From what I understand, it
has not fallen through yet. It is in the lawyer's hands.

Yes, it's in the hands of the lawyer who's saying to Joel Hollander,
"Please please please sign O&A! We'll do anything you ask! We'll
even pay you! Just put us somewhere where our daddy Howard can notice
us!"

Yeah, you're right. How about a re-do:

I'll just take your word that being double teamed by O&A is better than
with Robin and Howard.

The bone smuggler comment was unnecessary.

Why? Hardly noone knows who they are. They're only known in parts if New York.
They can't have more than a few thousand listeners now. Who the fugg would
care? It's not like Larry King would have them on to promote.
They're n-o-t-h-i-n-g, nobodys.

"would not compromise..." That means CBS wouldn't touch 'em with a ten-
foot pole.

When XM and Sirius merge, Opie will end up working in Blockbuster.

That's an interesting point. How come you never hear about Opie in the
media? I mean, national television, on the news. Except for when they got
fired, unless you were in a place that had them on the regular radio, you
don't know who they are.

Walk down Michigan Ave. here in Chicago and ask the first 50 people you
meet who Opie is and see if they know.

Regarding the canard about 99% of the people who listen to Stern have
already signed up for Sirius: It's not true,

I know a ton of people who are waiting for either the 'net feed or a
good portable system to hit the market before they sign up.

Just wait til XM and Sirius merge. It's bound to happen because there's
not enough market for both companies, but neither's going away. They
will merge and if the resultant company has a choice between Stern and
all the media promotion he brings (name recognition, etc) or Opie, who
you think they're gonna go with? It'll be "bye bye AIDS cases"
