I am testing the compatibility of the spliter created by dish network for his two tvs controled tivo. I believe that this spliter will work for the directv signal, That will make our install much easier. If you have try, let me know your cxonclusion?

Any splitter that can pass power (a power-pass splitter) through it will work for splitting the signal on directv for a DVR/Tivo unit, but eventually the splitter will burn up and will no longer work. After you split the signal and have both tuners hooked up, you have to reset the reciever before the signal will show up on the reciever.
